The Commissioner of State Revenue has this week announced there will be an extension to the “commencement of construction” period for the Federal HomeBuilder Grant.*
This means that the requirement to commence construction on a new home has been extended to 6 months, instead of the previous 3 months.
The deadline to enter into a building contract remains at 31 December 2020, however the extension provides more time for you to commence construction with your chosen builder.

The WA State Government has announced an extension to the Building Bonus timeframes.*
This means that the requirement to commence construction on a new home has been extended to 31 December 2021, or 12 months from the date of your building contract.
The deadline to enter into a building contract remains at 31 December 2020, however the extension provides more time for you to commence construction with your chosen builder.
